Couponing For Community 5/8-5/14

When I first started couponing consistently, it was to help reduce our household budget. I quickly learned that it can also be used to do some good and make a difference.

Sometimes I’ll purchase things that are moneymakers that we may not necessarily use. In those cases, I either give them to others I know that will have a use for them or donate them. There are many easy ways to make a difference in someone’s life.

Couponing for Community is a nationwide event utilizing the power of couponing and social media to make a united impact for those in need.
Join this community of couponers by using your couponing skills to give to a homeless shelter, food pantry, or a friend in need during the week of May 8-14!

May 14th is also National Stamp Out Hunger Day. Check with your local Post Office to find out if they are participating and learn more at Help Stamp Out Hunger!

Some Illinois-area agencies that could use donations include:

– Feeding Illinois

Please share what you plan to do to help your community by using your couponing skills!
