Colgate Building Smiles Tour Review

The Colgate Building Smiles Tour is visiting many locations throughout the country. It is staffed by volunteer dental professionals and children (ages 1- 12) receive free screenings, treatment referrals and key learning tools to help them build a lifetime of healthy habits.

The mission of the Colgate Building Smiles Tour is to combine the free screenings and education with Walmart’s everyday low prices and broad assortment of oral care products, in order to provide families the much-needed access to the education and everyday oral care necessities they need to live better, healthier lives.

We had the opportunity to visit the Colgate Building Smiles Tour during it’s stop at Walmart in Joliet, IL.

Before we went to the tour, we had already been practicing good oral health with our children by taking them for their dental exam every 6 months and having them brush their teeth 2 to 3 times a day. This tour only reinforced everything we’ve been teaching them, as well as get them excited about taking care of their teeth.  Afterwards, we purchased toothpaste at Walmart with the coupons provided in the goodie bags.
