B3G1 Free Concert Tickets from Live Nation and Concert Ticket Giveaway

Buy three Live Nation tickets, get one free!

Do you remember attending your first music concert? I do! It was Olivia Newton-John’s “Physical” tour and I remember being so excited to see my favorite singer sing her hits live.

When I got older, I attended New Edition concerts and their spin-off artists (BBD, Ralph Tresvant, Johnny Gill, Bobby Brown). I loved watching them perform their hits and especially loved dancing and singing along to their songs during the concert along with the many other fans in the amphitheaters.

This past couple of years, Jim and I have seen Rascal Flatts and Miranda Lambert in concert. Again, the energy of a live show is so much fun!

We’re taking our kids to their first live concert later this summer and can’t wait to see their reactions. With our large family, we’re always looking for ways to save money on entertainment, especially since some concert tickets can be expensive.

Through October 7th, buy three concert tickets from Live Nation and get one free for participating shows at amphitheaters across the country. Visit this page to see eligible shows and to purchase tickets. Some of the artists include Train, Brad Paisley, John Mayer, Kelsea Ballerini, and more! You can even get some of the tickets for under $20 each!

Main Event Entertainment – Warrenville, IL Review

Disclosure: I was invited to attend the preview event, which included complimentary food and attractions. However, all opinions are my own honest opinions.

#MEWarrenville

My family and I were invited to attend a preview event before the official opening of the newest Main Event Entertainment location in Warrenville, IL. We were excited to find out more about this entertainment center. Especially with the weather getting cooler, we are always looking for more indoor activities to add to our list.

About Main Event Entertainment:

Main Event Entertainment is a state-of-the-art entertainment destination that packs in tons of fun for everyone, all under one roof with cutting-edge bowling, multi-level laser tag, Gravity ropes, games, billiards and more. Main Event is the fastest growing family entertainment center in the U.S. The new Warrenville center located at 28248 Diehl Road is the 17th location nationwide and the first location in Illinois. Main Event’s dining options include a pizza restaurant with hand tossed pizzas and gelato as well as American casual dining with classic sandwiches, burgers and entrees and a full bar. My review:

First of all, I think they used the space very well to incorporate all of the things they have to offer. I like that there are multiple places where you can sit down and eat. On the lower level, there’s a dining area near the bar, billiards and bowling. There’s even a dining area on the side of the bowling alley, so you can catch all of the action! When the weather is nice, you can dine outside in the patio area. The food is reasonably priced, with kids’ meals starting at only $4.99. My favorite thing to eat there is the gelato – I’m partial to the chocolate one, but they have a good selection.

My family and I liked the arcade game section. There are games for all ages. Each of my kids, ages 6, 9, 10, and 11, were able to find games that were age-appropriate. My son and I battled it out in a hoop shoot game. There are even air hockey tables. You purchase FUNcards and reload them to play the games. Right above the arcade are the Gravity Ropes. This is the favorite attraction for me and my 11 year-old son. While harnessed, you can test out your balancing skills walking on a combination of ropes and steps suspended above the arcade section. I’ll admit, the first time I went up on the Gravity Ropes, I thought I would be braver, but the thought of walking on what looked like a tightrope, started to make my stomach drop a little. I ended up taking the paths with steps on them. However, my son flew through the whole course, taking a cue from Spiderman. The second time I went up, it was with my son and his friend, so I looked to them for a little guidance on how to conquer the ones I didn’t go on before and with their tips, I was able to go through the whole course. It really is a lot of fun!

My kids did Laser Tag and they enjoyed it. They are given time slots, so it makes it easier for us to enjoy the rest of Main Event while waiting. From now through November 21st, they have a FUNbination special where you can pick your play on Sundays through Fridays. It’s only $5 for each unlimited activity and includes bowling, laser tag, billiards, mini golf, and gravity ropes. (Check here to find out the restrictions to the deal.) When you need a break, you can always visit the photo booth and have some fun photos taken. They have a wide range of backgrounds you can choose from and my family all picked different ones:

Main Event is also a great place to hold a birthday party or corporate event. The upstairs has multiple rooms for birthday parties. There is also a space for corporate events, complete with televisions to beam your presentations on – not to mention the separate bar area, which overlooks the Gravity Ropes and arcade area. There are also stylish lockers where you are able to store your party supplies and gifts during your party. They have packages suitable for all ages. My son is already planning to have his 12th birthday party there.

Besides being fun for the guests, my favorite part of Main Event is that the staff also have fun. Periodically, they will break out into dance. During our visit, the staff started dancing to Cotton-Eyed Joe:

As you can see from the photo below, I recommend visiting the Main Event in Warrenville, IL, as a place where the whole family can have fun together.

Rascal Flatts Concert – Illinois Lottery #APMusicSeries

Disclosure: I received a free tickets to the Rascal Flatts concert from the Illinois Lottery in exchange for writing a review on the blog.

#APMusicSeries Rascal Flatts

We had so much fun attending the Rascal Flatts concert, courtesy of the Illinois Lottery, as part of their Anything’s Possible Music Series (#APMusicSeries). Since we aren’t taking any out-of-state vacations this year, this was a perfect “staycation” for us, as well as a long-overdue date night.

Once we arrived at the First Midwest Bank Ampitheatre in Tinley Park, IL, one of the first things we saw upon entering the gate was the Illinois Lottery tent. There, we were able to purchase lottery tickets, plus they had a special game we could play for a chance to win prizes if we purchased a certain number of tickets.

Lucky for me, one of my lottery tickets was a winner! I won $4, enough to cover the tickets I purchased. I just knew it was going to be a good night!

Because of the amount of traffic heading into Tinley Park, we missed the first opening act, which was Gloriana, but we were able to catch Sheryl Crow. She did not disappoint. Jim and I made sure to take a selfie to commemorate our first date night in over a year (since his stroke last year).

Once Rascal Flatts took the stage, the audience cheered and we were treated to many of their hits. I’ve always loved listening to their songs on the radio and watching them perform on awards shows, and seeing them live was even better than I could have imagined! Here are just some of the songs they played:

Their newest hit, “Rewind:”

“Love You Out Loud:”

Then, Sheryl Crow joined them onstage for a couple of songs, including “Picture:”

and “My Wish” (one of my favorites):

My favorite part of the concert was when they introduced their band, but they didn’t do it the traditional way. They sang a couple of songs acapella with their band. Who knew there could be so much vocal talent backing them up? Here they are singing “Happy:”

Our kids favorite song from Rascal Flatts, “Life is a Highway:”

Once they finished their set, the screens starting showing the words “Rascal Flatts” and we all started chanting for them to return to the stage. They obliged with a final performance:

The best thing about seeing Rascal Flatts live in concert is watching them interact with their fans. They went into the audience and took selfies with the crowd, at times even grabbing the phones themselves to take the pictures, like Gary LeVox did:

“Rewind,” on Amazon.com.

It was our first time at the First Midwest Bank Ampitheatre and we were very impressed. Our tickets were on the Illinois Lottery’s Anything’s Possible deck, so we had a good view of the stage. We were under a covered area. We also liked the fact the parking is free. My only suggestion would be to give yourself plenty of time before the concert to get in because with the traffic on the exit ramp and then entering the parking, it was almost twice the estimated arrival time on our GPS.

If you’d like the chance to win a flyaway trip to a Live Nation Show and $5,000, you can enter at one of the #APMusicSeries concerts throughout the Chicago-area this summer, or you can visit the Illinois Lottery’s website. They’ll also be at different festivals and locations throughout the summer, so keep your eye out for the Illinois Lottery’s tent and stop by!
